今年的第2季, 全球有23.6%(近1/4)的HFs選擇中國為其在亞洲的投資區域 .

HFRI不含日本的新興市場指數在第2季獲利18.86%, 這也使得HFs投資亞洲金額第2季即增加了68億美元, 整體資產達682億美元.

而投資於中國的部份在4-6月成長了19.82%, 較其它亞洲地區高, 同時也較上半年增加35.86%. 未來也預期將會有更多的資金流入亞洲市場.

World's 23.6 percent hedge funds chose China as their investment destination in Asia in the second quarter of this year, up five percent year on year.

The HFRI Emerging Market Asia ex-Japan Index, an index of industrial analyzing firm Hedge Fund Research (HFR) tracing the performances of hedge funds that invest in Asian markets except Japan, profited 18.86 percent in the second quarter, hitting a record high since the final quarter of 1999.

Because of the profit growth, hedge funds that invested in Asia increased 6.8 billion U.S. dollars in the second quarter, and the total amount of capitals stopped sliding and rose 3.2 billion dollars, boosting the overall hedge fund capitals invested in Asia to 68.2 billion dollars, rising for the first time since the second quarter of 2008.

Although investors continued to redeem from the funds in the second quarter, the amount, which totaled 3.6 billion US dollars, was much lower than 17 billion US dollars in the previous two quarters.

In Chinese market, an HFRX index of HFR specially weighing hedge funds investing in China grew 19.82 percent in April-June, higher than the average level in Asia market, and increased 35.86 percent in the first half, representing a record half-year high since the launching of this index in 2005. Hedge funds invested in Chinese market receive sound reward.

Kenneth J. Heinz, president of HFR, said that with the evolution of Asia's hedge funds, dispersiveness of investment strategy will attract more funds and capitals to Asia.
