8月份失業率9.7%

由美國勞工部(Labor Department)公佈之8月份失業報告:

Nonfarm payroll employment continued to decline in August (-216,000), and the unemployment rate rose to 9.7 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Although job losses continued in many of the major industry sectors in August, the declines have moderated in recent months.

• 美國八月份非農就業人口減少216,000人, 失業業攀升至9.7%, 1983年6月以來的最高水平.
• 儘管失業狀況仍持續擴散,幾乎所有產業仍持續流失工作. 但至少近幾個月來 , 速度上已現放緩.

• 在去年, 就業人數減少了583萬人, 在過去20個月來則減少了693萬人 .

• 依季的資料來看, 2009Q3失業率預估9.6%( 7月份9.4%; 8月份9.7%), 真實數據將可能更高. 該數字較當初壓力測試"more adverse" 9.3%高出許多.
• 失業率攀升印證財長蓋特納的看法，他認為振興措施現在就退場還太早。
• 未來即使經濟開始好轉, 但企業在招聘還是會保守謹慎, 也使得失業率將持續居高一段時間.
